If arriving by car, the major routes providing access to the Southport, NC area would be Interstate 40 and NC Hwy 74/76. Both routes intersect in NC with Interstate 95 which provides a link from all areas to the Southeastern North Carolina area.

Merge onto I-140 W/US-17 S via EXIT 416A toward Shallotte/Myrtle Beach.

Turn Left onto NC-87/George II Hwy SE.
Turn Slight Right onto River Rd SE/NC-133/NC-87. Continue to follow River Rd SE/NC-87.
