Fishing
From the beaches of the Cape Fear River channel, to the marshes bordering the island on the north, to the Frying Pan Shoals off the eastern point, the waters surrounding Bald Head Island offer year round challenges for the novice and "old hand" fishermen alike. Pick your season, pick your catch, as the cooler waters of fall and winter give way to the warmer temperatures of spring and summer, a wide variety of fish can be found along Bald Head's shoreline.
